Stratum Unveiled (2023)

Stratum Unveiled (2023) is in response to Octavia Spencer's The Parable of the Sower and my current exploration into the concept of visibility. This investigation resulted in the exploration of Spencer's depictions of human nature to still create a hierarchy and separation despite being thrust into a terrain of destruction and confusion for humans and animals alike. How does the lighting guide your hierarchical separation? Where do the abstracted anatomies and cellular breakdowns overlap? Where do they deviate?
